After action/Death report UI

Could we please get a after action report on death.

I should preface this by saying, i am new to POE coming to POE2 after playing many other ARPG- LE and Diablo being the two i last played but have played many many others over my 33 years of gaming. And the one thing i can say those other games have over this one is the fact i KNOW what i died too, what damage i died to, the damage type and so on i died too. Yet in this game, i literally die many times to stuff i just have ZERO clue what hit me, who hit me, what the damage type was and how much that said ability hit me for. (i should state i freaking love this game btw, have close to 180 hours i just find this one thing and maybe a couple other QOL issues a huge pain point)


There are so many times i die to something and i am just oblivious to what did the killing. I am now playing my second character, a Sorc. It is at level 58, sitting at 1600 EHP (1000 life, 600 shield) with most my resist at 20-50%. And the amount of things that are literally hitting me ONCE and eating my entire shield and HP is absurd. And before it is asked yes i know boss hits, and i know of which boss hits can one shot you. My major issue isn't with bosses at all.

What made me finally scream out for the last time was being in "The Lost city" which is a rather dark zone to begin with, i ran into an elite scarab beetle mob which was clearly half a screen away from me, it did an animation and i just died. I was scratching my head, did it cast a spell? Did it some how melee me from max range? What exactly did it do or cast on me to literally one shot me. Did i do something wrong? I just can't tell.

And it makes it even worse when i am playing a Shock/firewall/Fire skull build which floods the screen with lots of particle effects so i can barely see when enemy projectiles are launched at me!!

Give me a after action report, tell me what i got hit by, for how much and by what mob. I WANT to learn and get better. I shouldn't have to exit the game to figure out how i died. And the fact even if i record and slow motion my gameplay i STILL can't even freaking tell what is killing me! Please please please for the love of all that is holy give me a way to see what the heck blew my butt away.
