Ashar, the Sand Mother seems unaffected by boons

Had the following boons:
Monsters have 25% reduced action speed
Monsters have 30% less life
You do 50% more damage
You have 50% more defences

Entered this boss room after breezing through everything else in the trials and could not touch this boss. It's health and action speed did not seem reduced and it spawned quicksand so quickly that it could not be touched without taking extreme damage. Either overtuned or buggy as hell.
