getting 0 on energy shield with Eldritch Battery

Hi everyone, when i use tatered robe as armour i get 2k energy shield, but when i switch to any other body armour i get 0 on energy shield. Did i missed something?,

One or two things, yes.

First of all, the "Tattered Robe" you're using is a unique called "Ghostwrithe". As a unique rarity item, it has a specific set of modifiers, some of which may not be available from other items. Of interest here is the modifier which converts 50% of your Life to Energy Shield.

In PoE 2, conversions all happen at the same time, before modifiers like %increased or %more are applied. What this means here is that you cannot combine Ghostwrithe with Eldritch Battery to convert 50% of your Life to Mana; the Life gets converted to Energy Shield, and cannot be further converted.

Do you have Eldritch Battery allocated?

It converts your Energy Shield into Mana, so you would have no Energy Shield, barring effects like those on Ghostwrithe or The Everlasting Gaze.

Yes, i'm seeing other players from youtube that has Eldritch Battery allocated as well, but they still have energy shield.

In the video that you linked, the player is equipped with The Everlasting Gaze. This has "Gain % of Mana as Energy Shield".

"Gain" is similar to "Convert", with the only difference being that with "Gain" you aren't removing from the source. "Gain % of Maximum Mana as Maximum Energy Shield" does not reduce your Maximum Mana, while "Convert 50% of Maximum Life to Maximum Energy Shield" removes 50% of your Maximum Life. For this calculation, Ghostwrithe calculates based on what your Maximum Life would be without Chaos Innoculation.

With Eldritch Battery you will not have Energy Shield, unless you are equipped with Ghostwrithe or The Everlasting Gaze.

Or are affected by any other modifier added in the future which would cause you to Convert a stat to or Gain as stat as Maximum Energy Shield.
