Destroyed quest item by mistake, cant progress campaign, fix?

Hi, I deleted the quest item from act 3 (cruel) Legacy of the Vaal questline. The heart that we get from the boss that needs to be put in Stone altar in Infested Barrens.
Inventory got full and I stopped to delete some items. Didnt get the prompt to accept or cancel deleting it which is weird, and it wasnt on the ground either. Tried to go to altar to see what happens, character pulls out heart and puts it in altar, but nothing happens, cant proceed the campaign as normal. Tought I might have to go back and kill the boss again, but he didnt drop the quest item. Is there a way to fix this or is that character bricked due to 1 shitty missclick? Thanks for the help in advance
