Mana regeneration rate and mana recovery rate now work in the same multiplication interval in poe2
In poe1, if you get 100% mana regen rate and 15% mana recovery rate (such as the one from watcher's eye - clarity), you will get basic mana regen * ( 1 + 100% ) * ( 1 + 15% ) = 2.3 * basic mana regen.
But now in poe2, it's not like this. The recovery rate just works the same as mana regen rate for your mana regen. As a result, the same value of these two mods will give you 2.15 * basic mana regen. For a large investment of mana regen. it differs a lot. The notable Arcane Blossom is discribed as mana recovery rate but weaker than my expectation and I tested it, found this conclusion. I hope it is a bug and will be fixed, or the whole cluster is a waste of passives. Last bumped on Jan 27, 2025, 9:09:51 AM

Maybe the whole point is just that it works on flask / on hit / on death effects?

Same, i just stacked additional 50% mana regen, I barely feel difference, seems like mana regen is not improved.

Recovery still affects everything, but there are now 'two' types of recovery:
increased/decreased recovery and more/less recovery. Increased/decreased recovery SUMS with other sources of recovery AND of regeneration, thus 15% increased mana recovery is equivalent to 15% mana regeneration for the purpose of the mana regeneration rate, but the recovery still affects flasks, recoup, etc. The more/less recovery (e.g. 50% less recovery from Mind Over Matter) is still multiplicative. Thus, everything "works as intended" They should change Arcane Blossom to 15% MORE recovery instead of INCREASED, it is very weak now. |
