Locked in a portal and game won't load

Act 3 Cruel: Jungle Ruins:

I entered the portal and then that crashed the game.
Due to the Windows issue, this would have me quickly restart the game and all will be fine until the next crash (or bluescreen) at any random time while playing.

Right now, every time I'm trying to log in, it's just crashing and I think it's because I've still clicked within that portal to get into the next map.

Any help getting out of this would be great.
I can now see until a Windows fix, I'm now locked from going further with this toon.
I want to move bank items for a new toon until then.
