Gem Tab has a Problem

So I purchased the Gem Tab only to find that all my Support Gems say they can work with the skills I have at hand, I was just trying Herald of Ash and that was showing up as able to use all of the Support Gems I had so I popped them in to my inventory only to find that almost none of them are usable with Herald of Ash.
Based on that I have to think that will be the case for most of the Support Gems that are listed.
