New Player advice on trading

Good day all,

I am a new player to PoE. I have been enjoying the early access period for PoE2 the last 2 weeks. Recently I found that there is an option for trading on the PoE-website. So far, I have had little issues with it. This was mostly regarding Rare items during the leveling process. However, I am now running into an issue I am struggling to understand.

I am looking to purchase an unique ring. When I look it up, there are over 10.000 results (even when only searching for online players). So there is defenitely not a shortage on the ring. Prices vary wildy from 1 exalt to 1000 divine. I have been trying for hours to contact people. Obviously starting with the lower prices, but I am even getting to uncomfortable prices (for a new player). I have spend literal hours on trying to contact people. However, the result is always the same. Nothing! No invites, not even responses. We are talking about listings that have been up for days, but no one even reacts to whispers. Can anyone explain what is going on here? Is it something I am doing wrong? Any advice is welcome.

You're doing everything right. That's common trade problem, you only have to continue reaching players.

About currency shortage - besides gearing for mobs and bosses you can look for gear set for item/currency farming (MF, magic find).

Also you could (and have to, frankly) salvage gear for shards of Artificer's orbs, regal orb's shards etc
