Checkpoints not working.

Got to the top of the Temple of Kopec. Died to boss (Which is fine). What is not fine is i got set at the bottom of the Temple of Kopec unable to use the checkpoints. If someone could help me with rectifying this that would be great.

Correction it is just the boss room of Temple of Kopec.
