PoE2 Xbox - Summary Feedback and Review for Devs - by exBeta Tester 4 Blizzard :)

I would like to leave my feedback about PoE2.

First few things about setup and config:

1) Playing only on Xbox Series X
2) Internet - 1Gbit stable optic-fiber
3) Playing on Xbox Elite-controler.
4) 4k MSI 32'' Monitor @ 60Hz refresh rate

Top issues I've hit

1) Framerate (regardless of settings I used about graphics) I always hit an issue with FPS rate. I've adjusted it a bit that It wasn't any major issue for campaign - but it changes when I've started playing endgame.

I've stopped doing any Atlas activities and focused on playing other characters because at actual stat it's impossible to play any kind of Endgame @ Xbox.

Reason? I know that You've put a lot of effort and time to have "connection-security" that prevents from dying if ISP / servers are having issue. But Right now in Every single activity that Endgame offers I have issue with framerate drops almost to 0 and freezes for 1-3 seconds. In most cases it ends with my character dying - and I am loosing any activity and rewards that was on that "map".

It's totally fucked up - if any boss have any kind of AoE effect + his minions got the same effect FPS drops to 0-1 FPS or even freezes for 3 seconds - that makes endgame totally unplayable.

Other option is to enable downscaling (wich I disabled) because even in basic boss fights I got graphic worst than 1st Doom game.

Map / Atlas opening - Dunno what's wrong with it but loading Quests tab / atlas takes more than Loading screen to any map / location. What's wrong with that?

So first big issue is optimization on consoles.

2) UI / Bindings on controller.

I play with my friends who are playing on PC - they got much more options available - wich for me are hidden and I can't reach them. Simple examples:

a) map in overlay view (fullscreen) - I have no possibility to move the map - it's always centered on me. @ PC You can move it with cursors. I've tried plenty of combinations - arrows, arrows while pressing any kind of modifier, using L/R3 and moving analogs. And there is just NO option like that.
b) aiming - I've died plenty of times @ my Monk because BELL is always aimed FIRST and no matter what direction You will use with analog Bell is always "forced" as target. Plenty of times boss was just "outside" Bell radius and I wanted to hit it - even holding direction with analog - but the game decide to attack bell instead. effect = DEATH. (And once again in campaign its manageable - in endgame is extremely frustrating.
c) Inventory navigation - I understand that old good D2 times and puzzles in inventory might be fun @ Mouse and keyboard combo - but @ controller its totally counter-intivive. Especially without any option to automatically "order" backpack. IF I would LIKE to Play TETRIX I WOULD PLAY TETRIX not aRPG.
d) Navigating gems - Why when I press "x" on gem to use it it doesn't automatically open "Skills" tab to place it wherever I want? Same with support gems. @PC it might not be an Issue - @ Controller -> suxx
e) Navigating map and quests - it's just totally counter intuitive and doesn't work as MAP. I would love to click on Quest if it's selectedd and it would automatically move my cursor to waypoint that is related to the quest. Also quests description could be more precise - sometime it's not obvious what to do @ first try.
f) Advacned statistics of skills / talents - I know that @PC You can view the early by pressing alt or shift. @ Xbox I don't see any tooltip that I can press to see the benefits from selecting the skill - It might be there but the game doesn't give You any indicator that it exists. It should be somewhere on the "talent/passive" tree that You hold any kind of R2/L2 to view advanced informations.
g) Sell all / sell selected items - why I need to press on every single item to see them? Why I can't just mark them as junk and sold all or set up filters what mites should not be marked as junk and wich should and just easily sell them by 1 click.?

Most important thing - Xbox support Mouse & Keyboard combo - why You just don't allow players to select their way to control the game?

Conclusions:

I literally LOVE the game, the freedom to build Your now character, I enjoy the fable of the game - it's interesting. I was rly happy about the endgame. But all of bugs above are just stopping me from playing right now. I got 3 characters I can get them easily to endgame but what's the point if I can't enjoy the endgame activities - I can just die on any kind of map and then redo it without the "obstacles" that were not there.

I know that optimization might take some time - but for example having possibility to have that 6 enterances to the instance as "if You die because of FPS drop rate that we know are there" You can come back and continue from there - that would be very appreciated. Right now I am getting PUNISHED for game optimization ISSUE that is not my fault.

When you leave that feeling in players they will just stop playing.


I have hope that You won't take that as offensive or attacking - I do enjoy the game and I would love to enjoy the ENDGAME but in this state it's just impossible.


Ps. I am not mentioning any kind of game crashes that happens occasionally especially when you Pres options and start one after another few times - because I believe that it's connected to optimization and "quests" tab as well as social tab issues. If You would like I can make a more detailed post with screenshots and videos how to make any kind of issues I am talking about occurs so You can test them by Yourself.
