Equipped focus no longer impacts character energy shield

Hi,

On one of my characters (on PS5 POE 2), character energy shield is suddenly no longer affected by equipped focus. It gives 0 energy shield no matter the stats of equipped focus. All other stats on focus take effect as far as I can see.

Ive tried a lot of things to "fool" the game into considering the focus when calculating energy shield again:
- Respec "Eldritch Batter" on/off in passive tree
- Respec "Chaos Inoculation" on/off in passive tree
- Even allocating "Dreamcatcher" has no effect on character energy shield when equipping any focus with ES.
- Respec some minor energy shield nodes in passive tree
- Re-equip jewels in passive tree
- Moving wand/focus into weapon set 2 and back again
- Equiping wand/focus into both weapon set 1 and 2 and switching between them
- Equipping a staff and back to wand/focus
- Equipping a vendor bought focus and then back to the focus I wish to use
- Have the character die by enemies
- Equip/unequip certain uniques:
- The Everlasting Gaze Azure Amulet
- Ghostwrithe Tattered Robe
- Blueflame Bracers Goldcast Cuffs

After trying the all the methods above, the energy shield from equipped focus still has no impact on character energy shield.

The bug seems permanent only to this one character. All other characters created on same account does not have this bug.

I am uncertain on when this bug manifested, but it was after I tried to move away from using "The Everlasting Gaze Azure Amulet". I wanted to use a rare amulet instead and bought a few items through the www.pathofexile.com trade interface to facilitate this build change.

have you found a solution? I have the same issue

We need all start requesting money back as we did ask and we been ignored for over 14 days and that guve us right to reject game and force to get the money back (all mony was put in to game )

I also have this problem. I’m a level 47 monk and all of a sudden my energy shield went from 400 to 190, and the game is pretty difficult right now, so it essentially makes me not want to play.

confirm respec on eldritch battery and your es will go back up happened to me when tried to get the increased es from equipped focus node and nothing happened. its increasing your es by a % but its trying to increase the 0. kinda weird bc i dont thing other things work this way unless im wrong. will test

Same problem here, it neither provides mana for battery, nor energy shield if I equip that legendary amulet. Respec did nothing :/
All +% energy shield from equipped stuff seem to do that (tried Focus and helmet).
Calculation order screws things, it should at least do something.

Working as intended in this case, I assume.

It doesn't do anything for Mana with Eldritch Battery because the conversion makes it affected by modifiers to Mana, not to Energy Shield.

It doesn't do anything for Energy Shield with Eldritch Battery + The Everlasting Gaze because all the Energy Shield you have is based off your base mana, before the conversion by Eldritch Battery--ie, none of it is from the gear's energy shield.



The only edge case that might need consideration and GGG review here, would be gear that grants mana combined with The Everlasting Gaze. The mana granted by the gear would be being converted to Energy Shield, and could in theory be deserving of having "% increased energy shield from equipped Focus" applied....though it'd probably just generate more confusion from people thinking that the modifier is only partially applying.

That's exactly what I say, as it does nothing in BOTH cases (Battery with - or without - Everlasting Gaze), it feels really wrong.
Even +% increased maximum mana has no effect with Everlasting Gaze. It's like the game must do calculations in one go and those items/perk where placed somewhere in the cake.

I'm having same issues where my focus does not give me any ES. I've taken off all my gears and only equip my focus and nothing happens. Still shows 0 ES. Tried other focus, same issue.

Anyone found a fix for this?

I too have this issue where any shield or focus equipped is not reflected in any of the character stats.
