Melee Low-Life Infernalist tanky and with huge crit dmg Sunder

I came up with this build while I was trying to create a build as Infernalist to stay low-life all the time and going full crit to exploit both Pain Attunement and Grinning Immolation for big crit damage. First I tried with physical spells for their high crit base chance but then I realized that there was a melee skill that could always crit....Sunder! (never played warrior since launch so had no idea). I was also reading about warriors using Cloak of Flames for damage reduction and I thought that Infernalist could work even better with that thanks to Altered Flash. ...soo why not going full titan witch? I'll soon post a new video with harder content after farming for better items. How it works: Offensive Since Sunder is always crit if fully broke armour is consumed, we go full crit damage to exploit the two juicy crit damage multipliers Pain Attunement and Grinning Immolation. Resonating Shield breaks armour fast and easy in a good area around. You can also try going with some skill for heavy stun + Devasting but I don't think can work well as witch. For now, I'm running with one weapon set only but weapon set 1 can be used to break armour whereas weapon set 2 can be used for damage (might also be with two 2h maces on bosses for crazy damage but a bit risky without all the fire res from Rise of the Phoenix) Defensive Altered Flesh + Cloak of Flames convert lots of damage taken into fire damage (also 20% physical into chaos) and so by stacking fire res with Unnatural Resilience + Prism Guard + Rise of the Phoenix we easily reach 90% max fire res for huge damage reduction. This also makes the damage from Grinning Immolation negligible. Some armour from equip + passives and also Heatproofing gives additional damage reduction on fire hits/physical damage. Being at low-life all the time enables some good defensive passives and lots of life reg from Rise of the Phoenix. The shield gives also 25% block which isn't a huge amount but is nice to have plus when using Resonating Shield, the Shield is always raised. The 25% life reserved from Infernalist (needed to be at low-life) can be used as energy shield or as spirit. First I tried energy shield + Mask of the Stitched Demon for big life reg but with no armour on helmet I was quite squishy (maybe can work with better gear). So I went spirit and I could take basically every warrior spirit gem + Blasphemy with Enfeeble for more damage reduction (not high level cause of int requirement but still a good 15% for now). Furthermore, with the 4% life recover from the Cannibalism gem we go back to full life (75%) after every Sunder. Pros: + Huge damage and aoe clear + Tanky + Easy to play Cons: - Going around with 75% life so need some max life/str from equip/passives to feel tanky - Sunder is quite slow (2s+) - Maps with lowered resistances/less recovery rate can be hard if equip isn't good enough Last bumped on Dec 30, 2024, 9:46:04 AM
