Endgame Mapping Bugs

first things first is when mapping i kill all monsters and map is completed but i go back to town and it shows map in progress, i used a waystone on the next area and it dissapeared, thinking it just bugged i tried a different waystone then that one dissapears. the only thing to prevent this from happening for me is letting monsters kill me after the map is complete. i think there needs to be a teleporter or something after the map is finished. is anyone else having these issues maybe im doing something wrong.
