Mektul, the Forgemaster arena oversight

I killed Mektul, the Forgemaster in The Molten Vault in Cruel with a poison after he killed me. When respawning at checkpoint, the lift that takes you down to his arena is inoperable, so there is no way to get back down and get the loot/quest item, forcing you to redo the zone.
