win7 not supported

sorry for asking here and not in technical support but i quickly need an answer for this: what's the reason poe2 doesn't support win7 anymore?

there are tools which enable win7 to run "win10 only" apps by changing stuff at the kernel level and i wanna find out if it's worth the risk installing them for this.

got a friend who needs to stay on win7 on personal reasons, he can play poe1 but the poe2 installer already errors out on it.

ps: idgaf about american companies' os support cycles.
