POE not loading

For the last several months, I've been getting a "Path of Exile not responding" error message when I try and load the game. My PC's up-to-date, running Windows 11, v24H2 with NVIDIA Geforce 561.03. So there should be no issue with my hardware. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled POE, but the problem continues. Any suggestions for what else I could try? I'm crazy frustrated!

Go into the PoE 2 config file in your 'Games' folder, open the file and change your Renderer to Vulkan (it's probably directx11 or 12 right now and these are causing issues for people). Vulkan, at least from my experience, is the safest renderer right now. (Should also be the same for PoE1)

C:\Users\*your account*\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile 2

The file is named "poe2_production_Config"

renderer_type=Vulkan


If it's not this, there is also another issue with the 24H2 service pack for windows or something. You can see the post at the top of the forums usually.
