Winning Temple of chaos without doing it

Yesterday, I entered the Temple of Chaos but didn’t progress further—I just went inside and then teleported back home because I wanted to sell some items. After that, I logged off as I had to leave. Today, when I logged back in, the temple was marked as completed. I couldn’t claim any rewards from the chest, but I still received the Ascendancy Points as a reward.
