Map shroud resets upon death

When I first started playing the map would still be able to be seen even though having to re fight enemies again. Now the entire map resets and I have to re explore the area in its entirety again. Not only that if I travel back to town just to sell stuff quickly it resets as well. I do understand that it will I’d you stay in too long but even if I travel out and right back in everything is shrouded again. Doing Freythorn atm and it makes it extremely difficult bc not only fighting everything again but also have to explore the whole place again is ridiculous. Is there a fix for this coming or is there a way to fix it now?
