PC Keeps freezing playign POE2

I cant play the game anymore, every 30 minute to an hour my entire pc locks up and requires me to hold down power button to restart. Expo is turned off. Is this a you problem or a microsoft problem? I am reading peoples systems are bricking because of this game? Is that true???? I am afraid to play the game now! Great game though! :)
