Trialmaster's Challenge Hard Stuck

Inside the Trialmaster's Challenge, I am supposed to collect Soul Cores to place into the center, there are none available to collect within the two areas I am allowed to go using the switch. There are no switches that would normally bring down some elevators to have more enemies to fight and work my way upwards to collect the Soul Cores. There is only a land to the west and north with no switches or any interactables.

Due to being in the challenge and no way to advance, as well as not being able to teleport to town, I have to walk all the way back out of the challenge.

I just tried to walk back to get out of the challenge, and the lift to the previous trial will not work. Only way to reset this now is to log out and let the instanced zone disappear.

I have had the same thing, there is one switch that lets you move some walls but no other accessible switches. It looks like there is another one though behind the top wall in the left room so it might be possible to do this with two people if one flicks the switch while the other if in the left room. Not sure if it is intentional to have a non-soloable trial?
I also had to log out to get out of the trial.

Thought I had this issue but figured it out...
