Softlocked from Trial of Sekhema

Starter a new character today, went into act 2 excited for my ascendancy but that excitement turned into frustration quite fast. I killed the boss required to progress "Ascent to Power" quest and picked up the questversion of the Djinn Barya. However when I went to the desert map to travel to the trial of sekhema TP it wasnt there. And it isnt anywhere on the map on this character. I have tried to loot other Djinn Barya keys, still no waypoint to get there. Ive tried killing the boss in new instances multiple times, no luck. Ive tried joining a friends instance of the Trial of Sekhema, still no luck.

This means that I am completely softlocked out of my ascendancy during the last half of Act 2 and the first half of Act 3. Not very fun at all since playing a warrior without ascendancy is incredibly weak.

Does this bug have anything to do with the newly patched Instance exploit of the Trial of Sekhema?

EDIT: I just tried to do the quest on the same character but this time on cruel difficulty. The boss dropped the Djinn Barya as she should do the first time per normal/cruel but I still couldnt progress the quest. Meaning I am COMPLETELY locked out from trial of sekhemas on this character. There is zero way for me to grab the waypoint there and since the quest didnt progress that means I cant get there on my own.

Thanks for this amazing bug, hope you fix it soon. Not fun to have to wait until 10 Trial trial of chaos for me to get my remainaing SIX points.

I am having the same exact issue as the original post and the follow up edit after.

This is my 4th character. No issues at all with the first three, but this one, for some reason, cannot access this trial no matter what I do.

I just fixed this issue. You need some1 to invite you to party and wait for you in temple. Just TP to him and unlock waypoint.
