This amulet (Beacon of Azis Solar Amulet) has this affix:
Critical Hits ignore Enemy Monster Elemental Resistances My monk has that skill in ascendancy: Sunder my enemies: Critical Hits ignore non-negative Enemy Monster Elemental Resistances So basically, this amulet has a better feature than my monk's special skill? Purely based on the wording of both (I have not yet leveled a monk) the Ascendancy is better. It could be possible that there is a hidden interaction. But I would expect the wording to be correct.
If the enemy has, for example, -50% Cold resistance and you hit for 100 cold damage, the enemy would take 150 with the Ascendancy or 100 with the amulet, since also negative resistances would be ignored, hence treated as 0. If you play alone and you do not lower enemy resistances in any way, then they would just work the same. |

Think the amulet is worse, it would ignore negative resiatances (which would be good for you and a damage increase) while the ascendancy only ignores them while not negative

" So what you're saying is this? Even when Amulet sees -50% it ignores it and actually accepts it as 0, which is a bad thing. Ascendancy doesn't evaluate it so it stays at -50%. If it works like this I'd be happy for Ascendancy but it's really not clear at all. |

" Yes, that is what I am saying. From the wording you posted it is 100% clear. The only question is if it is really working this way or if there is some hidden mechanic or a bug due to early access. Usually GGG chooses the wording very particularly and I personally would just trust it. " If you copied it 1:1 it clearly states "non-negative" for the ascendancy. |
