Zarokh the Temporal 1-shot needs to be more forgiving

Movement speed is the one attribute that the player has virtually no control over. Movement abilities like "flame dash" were all removed so the only agency the player has over their movement is the movement speed roll on their boots. Add in the random nature of the orb spawns and you frequently end up in situations where the player is just screwed and has no hope of collecting all the orbs.

This feels very cheap after slogging through 4 full floors of the trials just to die to some bullshit 1-shot that you had no hope of ever completing because the game does not give you any tools to address this problem.

This mechanic needs to be nerfed, redesigned, or completely removed. You cannot tell me someone at GGG playtested this mechanic because anyone testing on anything other than 30%+ movement speed boots would have instantly noticed a problem.

My first try at him I had 20% movement speed boots and managed to do it. You have several seconds to plot an "optimal route".

Also, add some movement speed in your relics. It helps alot.

Finally, DO NOT take the reduced movement speed afflictions. Ever. And no random afflictions, since they could include it too.

Edit: Finally finally, do not dodgeroll. It's tempting, but overall takes longer time. Maybe right before the final one though.

EVEN better -- when game slaps you -25% speed affliction just before boss, and you dying inside, knowing run is likely bricked.

I sometimes think someone in design team just wanted to torture players intentionally.

You got lucky. The layouts the orbs spawn in is random. Sometimes you can get them all and sometimes you can't. I had 25% movement speed boots and the first layout it spawned was fine but the second was spaced too far apart. I did not dodgeroll as I knew that would just slow me down but they were just too far apart for me to get the last orb.

The fact that they have movement speed debuffs in a trial where the last boss insta-kills you for the crime of having too low movement speed is a major design issue. Someone didn't think that out.

I had a spawn with 3 corners and a 4th near the 4th corner. 30% move speed couldn't get there fast enough. This needs to be more forgiving. Over an hour wasted to random chance.

Got the same, 30 MS boots, the timers were way too spread out
If you get bad orbs just logout and go again.
You have no control over move speed? What? I've heard a lot of bad takes about trial but this one is PEAK.

>Blink

Sad

Would like to add as someone who has run maybe 100+ sanctum 4's : 30% movement speed can hit ALL layouts.
Step 1 is to self reflect.

Same 30 MS and of course the orbs spawn in the corner. I even had the take no damage boon. Still couldn’t make it
