Biting Frost support to Herald of Ice

My friend telling me Biting Frost works nicely in his Herald of Ice.
But i dont understand - HoI shatter frozen enemies. Biting Frost consume Freeze to get +50% more damage. How they cooperate? You have forgotten your place, Karui slaaave! Last bumped on Jan 21, 2025, 6:33:33 AM

HoI deal cold damage when shattered, biting frost consume freeze build up -> cold damage from shattered does not build up freeze and more flat damage
