Leaving trial of sekeimas and coming back reset and lose progress?

If maps and instances reset with no activity 8-15 min, does this also apply to the trial of sekeimas? I don't do crap damage for my level and hate eating these hard to grind tokens. So if I quit and come back a day later or a week later, does the trial lose all progress?
