Severe Latency Spikes and Packet Loss Impacting Gameplay

The game becomes unplayable at times due to severe latency spikes. Even smaller spikes result in noticeable stuttering.

Typically, the latency ranges between 20-25 ms, but spikes can jump anywhere from 50 ms to as high as 3,000 ms. These spikes lead to constant stuttering, frozen screens, and sudden character "rubberbanding" as the game catches up.

I used Wireshark to analyze the network traffic and observed occasional packet loss. While I suspect the ISP may share some responsibility, this issue shouldn't affect the game to this extent. Path of Exile 2 is the only game I’ve encountered where even minor packet loss causes such disruptive behavior.

I have gathered data to substantiate this claim and am prepared to provide it if needed. Please feel free to reach out for further details or analysis.

Regards

I have the exact same issue. I already tried to manually set network to adaptiv and change DNS to 8.8.8.8 but nothing worked. I pinged google.com for like 10 mins and got constant 11-12 ms without any paketloss.. so my connection should be more than fine.

I am getting the same issue. It seems to have started with Patch 0.1.0f for me. I am on a wired ethernet connection and have no issues in other games or during speed tests.
