Auction House Style Trading

I get that many of you probably like the format of trading as is, but its really frustrating to sit on poe2 trades trying to buy an item when you have only a few ex and folks are dumping the items you are looking for into a 1 ex trade bin to simply use whispers as a sign they priced something wrong. I imagine I'm competing against snipers also as I've only heard back from one person in 2 hours of trading.... Noob or not it is just not very fun.

The trade experience can be pretty jarring on the first encounter. While the system is far from perfect, I think it still preferable to an Auction house and the economy problems it creates. GGG struck a nice balance by implementing Faustus for bulk consumables and leaving the items to manual trade, in my opinion.

Some helpful tips:

1. use the 'Ignore Player' option in the trade site listing for accounts that you notice show up very often but do not respond. These are often price fixers and ignoring them will eventually make the visible listings much more useful. (This does not affect in-game chat and can be reversed at any time from the search config settings)

2. Unless you get lucky, it is solid bet that if an item prices seems to good to be true, it is. Is still worth a whisper to see if its justa lucky steal, but keeping in mind that the deal was unrealistic is helpful for gameplay enjoyment.

3. For bulk sales purchases, the cheapest prices are basically always a price fixer. Just ignore that price and pay the 10% "extra". It's not actually extra, the first price wasn't real, it was just listed to get people to sell their own items at close to it.

4. Think of the trade economy as another game mechanic. Become a master and profit. Use Awakened POE trade if not already.

Very useful feedback, appreciate the insight. I guess my opinion is that the work of pricing an item should be on the seller. That doesn't appear to be how the system is working at all. Folks are just dumping items into a 1 ex window then keying off if they get tells on the items to price them correctly. If I go ignoring them there won't be many folks left off of ignore from what I'm seeing... LOL

Man...we had 10 years fight vs GGG that they add auction in someway. We suggest normal auction system like currently exist in Last Epoch,we suggested Trading Post - that you could invite ppl while doing map, they put currency in special stash and there could take the item. During this 10 years almost every league somebody suggest something how to fix trade and all what we get- is current currency trade station.

GGG dont care. Because even current trade station is not very comfortable to use with prices 1:7.8 when some currency doesnt have shards and you overpay or have to use website.
