Lost progress when merging PS and steam accounts
As the title suggests, I joined my steam account to my PS5 account and the game chose my steam progress to maintain not my Playstation progress, which is none. I have over 300 hours and over 10 characters on my Playstation account and now all of that is gone. I have tried to get in touch with support, I got a response asking me to confirm some of my details and then radio silence. That was over a week ago. I made sure to log in with PS account on POE account first then join my steam account, I have no idea why it chose to import steam when it has no progress whatsoever. This is really frustrating to lose my progress like this and have no help from the team whatsoever. I understand that it was the holidays and have been patient with that in mind, but at least a confirmation email or something that they're in progress of helping or receiving my emails. I haven't touched POE 2 because I play on PS and am afraid that if I make a new character my account data would be overwritten with a new one. Does anyone know of a fix or how to get GGGs attention, I missed out on basically all of winter break and am now stuck waiting for support that feels like will never arrive.

Please ensure that you are using the same sub-account on the website as you are playing on in game. More information can be seen here: Changes to Path of Exile's Account System. To clarify, creating a new character will not overwrite your progress.

Nevermind. Got it, had to create a character first then change accounts. Thank you for your help.
