Unable to access Trade, want to link my Steam to this acc.

I have an account setup to play POE1, purchased POE2 and want to link my steam to this account as currently I can't use the trade.
When I tried to link my steam I get: "You cannot add this login method to this account. You must complete the unlock process before continuing." I've no idea what that means, I emailed support about a week ago and haven't had any sort of reply. Any ideas? Thanks Last bumped on Jan 8, 2025, 7:42:01 AM

To clear this up, you may need to try logging into your account using the stand-alone launcher, and use the unlock code sent to your email in order to complete the log in process. Once that's done, you should be able to proceed with the Steam linking process. I hope this helps!
