My opinion

I never post on forums because I prefer to read what the community has to say. But this time, I’m going to give my opinion for once. I’m a veteran of Path of Exile 1, although I remain an average player, but I really love this game. So I can compare the two games. Here is my feedback on Path of Exile 2.

I should mention that I recently switched to console (PS5). Regarding the game on this console, the experience is disappointing. The performance is catastrophic compared to Path of Exile 1 on the PS5. There are already too many graphical modes, but what’s the point since, in every mode, the game drops to around 20 FPS during combat. I reinstalled Diablo 4 for comparison, and the difference is clear. Even though I don’t like Diablo 4, the game is very well optimized for the console.

Another major issue is the total absence of a loot filter, which could be perceived as disregard for console players, as if they were second-class players. In short, there is still a lot of work to be done before the game can be polished and enjoyable. For now, I’ve gone back to Path of Exile 1 while waiting.
