Coop Spawned into Wall below Waypoint in Ziggurat Encampment and can can't move...

Hello,
I was playing coop with my partner and we spawned into Ziggurat Encampment but into a the wall below the waypoint.
No minimap is visible, no waypoint visible and we couldn't move.
We tried to resolve this by switching one of the characters to another one which is only in Act 2 and both characters spawned fine. Same when switching the other character. Switching back to the original characters and we were stuck in the Ziggurat Encampment wall again.

We figured out the cause of the bug.
One of the characters was on the other side of the Gateway (in the Vaal city of the past). Moving both characters to the same timeline resolved the issue.
