Website showing the local time wrong

I have noticed this in the recent announcements, but the displayed local time does not match the PST time when converted. Example:

This Sunday, January 12 at 12:30PM PST (Jan 12, 2025 8:30 PM (GMT) in your local time), ...

This local time should have been Jan 12 11:30 pm, based on google.

Edit: I think timezone detection may be wrong as I would expect it to display GMT+3 in parentheses. I am using firefox, so I've tried disabling tracking protection but it seems to persist. I haven't tested with another browser as I don't have any installed, however I've done a curl to the link and timezone shows up correctly as Jan 12, 2025 11:30 PM (GMT+3).

This local time should have been Jan 12 11:30 pm, based on google. This is likely due to Turkey not using daylight savings, and may not affect other locales in similar time zones.

Do you have your computer's primary clock set to GMT time zone?

At first I thought the issue would be related to the time zone set in account preferences, but mine was set to UTC and the announcement still showed in EST. So, I think your computer clock may have been set to GMT, rather than Turkey's timezone of UTC+3.

Edit: after changing my computer clock's time zone and still not seeing a difference, maybe it's judging off IP?

I've narrowed the issue to the browser. Timezone detection may not be working properly in firefox.
