Predictable Disconnects (Area Transition)

Easy answer is an ISP problem, but I've noticed recently I will consistently get disconnected and kicked out of POE whenever I portal to town or switch to a new zone by exiting an area.

I can spend uninterrupted time in an area, wandering around killing monsters, but the moment I go to transition I get disconnected. This feels like an infrastructure problem, and only started in the past week or so.

My PS5 is also hard wired to my router (WiFi disabled).

I also maintain a running ping on another home system to a reliable Internet IP destination, and I am not dropping packets or experiencing latency upstream at the time I drop in POE.

Change your DNS settings on your PS5 (or even better, on your router) to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4. This should fix your problem.

Changing dns servers worked for me for 3 days and today it started all over again. ffs.
