Flammability interaction with cursed ground and Raging Spirits

I am trying to build out impending doom with flammability to summon raging spirits. The interaction is odd as the curse is a fire spell and at 3m radius summons 2 spirits (4 with echo). However, as soon as I turn on cursed ground it no longer summons any spirits at all. I was using the spirits to proc additional gained chaos from dark defiler so this was going to hopefully be super convenient. I can continue to use flame wall but its just really unfortunate. Curious if this is intentional or just an odd interaction.

It seems like you're encountering an unexpected interaction between Flammability, Cursed Ground, and Raging Spirits. 🔥👻 The situation you're describing is indeed odd and could be a bug or unintended mechanic, but it might also be due to how the game handles curse effects and summons in tandem.

Cursed Ground Effect: Cursed Ground creates an area around you that automatically applies curses to enemies in that area. When you're using Flammability and Cursed Ground together, it's possible that Cursed Ground is overriding or blocking the summon mechanics for Raging Spirits, since the curse is being automatically applied on the ground instead of manually casting the curse on enemies. This may prevent the Raging Spirits from triggering on enemies within that radius.

Summon Mechanics: Normally, Raging Spirits are summoned through Flammability when enemies are cursed. With Cursed Ground, the way the game handles area-of-effect curses may prevent them from triggering the summon in the same way. This could be an interaction oversight rather than an intentional design choice.

Possible Solutions:

1. Try casting Flammability manually on enemies rather than relying solely on Cursed Ground to see if that resolves the issue.

2. Test your setup with Flammability applied directly, then check if the spirits summon as expected. This might help isolate whether the issue is directly tied to Cursed Ground.

If this is indeed a bug, reporting it to GGG would be helpful, as they can clarify if it's an oversight in how the curse mechanics and summons interact. 🐛
Really appreciate the reply. One thing that is not consistent with what you described is the following:

The bolded is also not what's currently happening. If I remove cursed ground and just cast the curse on nothing the raging sprits are still summoned without any targets. Which is why I was so surprised that just using cursed ground caused this issue.

I also cant single cast the curse as using cursed ground with spell echo is allowing me to "pop" the curse and do my main source of damage through impending doom. My goal was to be able to create the spirits with my main damage ability so creating a ~30-40% gained chaos damage loop with almost 100% uptime.

So I guess in short there could be multiple things behaving oddly. Overall this doesn't brick my build just need to hard case the flame walls to get the spirits.

Not only that, they also said "Cursed Ground creates an area around you that automatically applies curses to enemies in that area." Honestly it smells like a ChatGPT job.

But I agree, the interaction should work. Flammability is a fire spell and Cursed Ground support has nothing to do with that.

It works according to this video https://youtu.be/jCSKpEaf6E4?si=BuplYnsBhXyG5Xxu&t=266
