Trading is being destroyed by content creators.

It is becoming harder and harder to successfully complete trades every single day, a lot of content creators make advice on extremely bad trading etiquette such as under pricing items and then bumping the price gradually. And it is making the whole trading experience some of the most obnoxious and toxic content in the entire game right now.

Because of this people have seem to have lost all common sense, say you have posted a item that someone wants (it may have been posted hours or even days ago), they will message you 2-3-4-5 times in a couple of seconds and spam party invite. Most of the time mapping I don't have time to instantly answer players "give me a sec mid fight", and if I don't answer within a couple of seconds they become offended as if I have kept ignoring them on purpose.

There is also the way a lot of people are trying to manipulate the market by posting items that they have no intention of selling but actively trying to manipulate others to sell at lower price so they can snipe items themselves, not that this is new by any means but this seems to be spreading and more players keep actively doing this.

I don't think so. The real reason is that people are just awful in general.
On Probation Any%
I don't know, it has become progressively worse, and when content creators make advices such as just dump all items into a "1 exalt" stash and if you get a lot of whispers just increase the price until you stop getting whispers is just bad.

If I was not already inn too deep this alone would have made me rethink playing the game at all.

I don't know the exact solution to this, but some sort of action-house system would go a long way to alleviate these issues.

And there are several reasons for that, and I don't think blaming "content creators" for that is fair.

First of all, tens of thousands of new players that have no clue about trading etiquette.

Secondly, we have no exact way of price checking items as of now, and if you're not very familiar with other builds, mechanics and the trade site, price checking an item isn't straight forward. So people have to try and fail. Sadly, pricing your item low and raising the price based on requests is the 'best' way to get some feedback on to how much players are willing to pay.

Thirdly, the economy is FUBAR. And in a FUBAR economy, there's chaos all over.

Of course there are bad actors trying to scam, cheat, RMT, price fix and so on. We had them in PoE 1, and we have them in PoE 2. And the more popular the game is, the more of this will happen. Just how it is.

A more stable economy and better trading tools will improve the situation.

LMAO.. this is the most disingeous thing ever...

"First of all, tens of thousands of new players that have no clue about trading etiquette."

bro no single new player can sway the already set standards of the market because POE vets are able to control everything from the top end.

new players take on old players habits because it's all you learn from the top end.

this is a top end problem trickling into the bottom.

You seriously can't think new players have any effect on already preconceived notions

yep it's new players who started 1ex tabs. bro you need to at least be honest

I'm trying to tell you that there are several factors as to why trading, the economy, no answers, wrongly priced items all are fucked up at the moment. You can keep believing that ONLY content creators are to blame here, as in your title. I'm trying to tell you that the problem in more complex than that.

You ONLY blaming content creators is FAR more "disingeous" than me naming new players with no idea how to trade, price check or act in the market as ONE of MANY reasons. I'm not blaming them, BTW. I would have NO WAY of price checking items if I was new to the game.

But good luck to you and your content creators.

nope that's not what I said, obviously newer players follow the market rules... because the top end sets them. this is basic stuff dude

1. To your first point, I dont understand what you mean. Why would someone underprice the item and then bump the price gradually? You sure you dont mean the other way around?

If your unsure, list the item higher then what you think and then gradually reduce the price until it sells? That sounds more like advice that someone might have given, and I also dont see how this is bad etiquette, just common sense. If your not sure about the value of something or if you just want to get the most out of it then start high and then gradually go lower.

2. I dont think people spamming you has anything to do with content creators, cant see how you made this connection. Please provide content where content creators are telling people to spam during trade.

3. Yes this is also a problem in poe1. Has nothing to do with content creators or what advice they have given.

I dont see how any of your points have anything to do with what content creators are doing.
