Wiki says Dannig is supposed to sell logbooks. I've tried to refresh his shop about 10 times, but no logbooks appeared, only artifacts. Does he sell logbooks at all?

He does in POE 1. As far as I know he does not in POE 2, or the chance is extremely low and I've never seen one.

The market sells logbooks for 55ex. You should get about 1 in 2 events, if you focus on the logbook remnant and have the logbook atlas passive skilled.

Cruoris, no, logbooks aren't sold for 55ex on the trade site, those are pricefixers. Logbooks that are 79+, so that you can actually go for the boss and therefore atlas points, cost around 200ex each, and you aren't guaranteed to find the boss in one.
