Rarity/Magic find are not good!
GGG i just wanted to let you know after live stream that you really should make your research and test magicfind/ rarity because its not good its actually awful.. and tbh its the number 1 reason why you will lose players if its not removed from currency .. . it is causing alot of issues from inflation to feeling mandatory and what not.. . please look into it and at the very least make it so that rarity do not affect currency

Naw, it wasn't MF, that was proven to be overblown by research done by one of the big youtubers (Jon said who in the campfire we just watched) and i am sure it was. Wanna know the truth? It was the duping. Not kidding. I *think* its fixed now but I cannot say they got all of them. I know they patched the instanced party bug but I dunno if they are all gone. So with the duping, rampant botting, rmt, predictive crafting and all the other things that happened and these people who did it are STILL posting on reddit and other forums without any repercussions is whats going on. The funny thing is I refused to even believe any of it. Then I saw them patch fixes and looked it up, sure enough, tons of exploiting going on. If you wan't it fair fair, we would need a factory reset like they did many times in POE1 closed beta.
tldr; MF fine, it has massive diminishing returns after a very early point. Party quantity bonus's are insanity in both poe1 and poe2, which is a very very fair complaint. However I think it was the duping that ruined stuff for people who care about the game economy. Me personally? I am unaffected by any of this. I am just testing things and making my own build and having fun honestly. Edit: Also Elon blatantly account shared and RMT'd (new fun kripp video) and did not get banned so I doubt anyones getting banned that did that stuff. i disagree and it was not proven infact rarity and magic find have been proven to increase the amount of divines you find by many many many times.. . and it does not actually have that deminishing return as you think it just have break points that the distance between them grows.. but when you really have alot of it is when you start converting to divines.

Wow in fact you are wrong. Rarity DOES have diminishing returns there are multiple videos, spreadsheets and posts of people testing this over thousands of runs. It found that the rarity actually doesn't yield much more. In thousands of runs they yielded the same amt of divines with different rarities. Although the quantity of items which is found on waystones and in the atlas tree does assist with more items, which in turn yields more currency. So just wanted to clarify so you don't spread more misinformation.

"well thanks but you are wrong because testing on white maps isnt really testing.. . and while it does have "deminishing return" it also have break points where with high enough rarity you start converting into divine and it works different when map has modes than white map.. . i played with and without rarity and it does give you 20+ times more divines maybe you should test 450 rarity your self |

They stated that if players thought its a mandatory stat it was wrong. It was explained to them that players did in fact think it was a mandatory stat. they are keeping it any way. It causes in flation and it segregates players who can run it and players that cant. They dont care. |

" Rarity 100% has a diminished returns formula of some kind. Isn't that currency statement a bit contradictory though? "you don't get more divines, but at the same time you get more currency" idk man that just doesn't add up. " it actually scale up to a nuclear amount .. rarity does have deminishing return as system but rarity doesnt make more currency drop it convert currency that is already dropping into rarer currency with a small amount where the first break point is at 100% you start seeing large increase in exlated orbs alcs and so on.. . and while it does have deminishing return and going above the 100% you dont start to see another 5-10x on exalted you are starting to convert exalts/chance into divines which is where you start to see a large increase in your divine drops.. people ran for tests white maps with no mods but thats not a good test because you still need to drop alot the more you drop the more you can convert |

yes and whats worse is their increase to loot in upcoming patch without removing currency from rarity just gonna make things worse.. . becuasse someone who isnt using rarity is dropping roughly 1 divine every 30 maps? while someone with very high rarity as we saw and tested dropping around 8 divines in a map now if they make 30% more currency drop 30% from 1 divine in 30 maps thats just 1/3 div in 30 maps which is nothing.. . while the people using rarity will see 2-3 div drop increase from this.. which is going to inflate the cost of items even more ..
