did the patch make the game harder?

so i have not even finished act iii normal yet. i just flip flop around and i am trying out every class a bit.

i think i noticed playing today that there are 1) more yellow mobs and 2) yellow mobs have mods i have never seen before.

it could just be RNG etc, but it feels like the game has been made more difficult? at least at the lower levels? or am i just crazy and nothing at all has changed?
