Normal Act 2 cannot complete Ascent to Power quest

I didn't pick up the green (quest) Djinn Bara in Act 2 normal and I cannot successfully repeat the quest. i.e. killing Balbala does nothing therefore I cannot access the Trial of the Sekhema zone

Things I have tried to fix this:

-Re-ran Traitor's Passage in Act 2 Normal in hopes of getting the quest item

-Re-ran Traitor's Passage in Act 2 Cruel.

-Double checked to see if I can still access the Trial area through the desert map (both from Act 2 Normal and Act 2 Cruel).

-Tried accessing through my hideout; still not available.

Didn't pick up quest item. Went back, it no longer drops. Stuck unascended.
Tried everything you have aswell.

Patch 0.1.1 had this fix which I thought would make the quest Djinn Barya obtainable for my char.

- Fixed a bug where quest items would not drop again from their respective objective if the player dropped them on the ground in an area where the difficulty was different to where it was obtained. Characters in a broken state should now be able to re-obtain the quest objective.

However this did not fix the issue, I have run Traitor's Passage again in Act 2 & 5 and no quest items dropped.

I can literally see the 3D model of the coin drop on the ground when Balbala dies but then disappears. Further, Balbala's boss icon on the world map is crossed out, there is also another croseed boss icon at the Trial of Ascendancy, however there's no waypoint and no way to acces the area.

Logged in as soon as I got time to, and ran traitors passage. No coin drop

Really thought it would have been fixed in the patch
