Let us resurrect party members in maps
It feels so bad having a party member die in maps and them having to just wait and do nothing for the rest of the map. Very unfun experience. Can you please just let us resurrect eachother like in campaign? No idea why this is suddenly taken away. Who cares if it will make it slightly easier to complete the map? It's about the fun.
In addition you can also not let anyone join the party if a party member is dead so you can't just invite a stranger for resurrection. Please make party play more fun. I even wish that in addition to SSF we would have duo self found or trio self found as well, as long as the players can't be changed. Please don't be a lonely game like diablo 4. Let both the party play and solo play be fun. Last bumped on Jan 13, 2025, 1:49:37 PM

Seconded, it's absolutely ridiculous that party play is basically non-viable in endgame, you know, the place where all chars eventually wind up with roughly the same level.

Totally agree, I've thought about it a lot and don't understand why we're not allowed.
I can't think of a way it would be 'cheesable' because it requires both skill and risk to resurrect someone in combat. |

Yes, that makes co-op in endgame just bad

I agree 1 death kills co-op play in atlas. It just makes it suck and very very difficult for two players with even minor differences in skill or gear to play together.
I dislike the 1 death rule when playing solo, but it isn't a dealer breaker, I can manage with it. But when in a group it FUCKING BLOWS. Not sure there's an easy answer that doesn't make group play way OP though if they're keeping 1 death in solo. I.e. if in group play you could revive it would instantly be 10X better/easier than solo play, which is something they've always tried to keep (somewhat) in balance. I think the long term answer here is having 2 "portals" (lives) per map (i.e. you get one death and can retry) until T15+, at which point it's back to one. This makes early mapping a bit more forgiving, group play won't suck as much etc, but it's still much much more restrictive/intesnse than POE1's 6 portal system, and just as intense in the end-end game as it is today. I also wouldn't hate seeing a return to the PoE1 6 portal/life system, but each time you die the map gets harder - i.e. random monster affixes added (with no corresponding benefit) random curses/debuffs to the player, etc. with each death. One death could still brick a map in the above scenario if you get unlucky, but at least you get A SHOT to complete it. That's way, way, WAY more fun than just losing the map.
