Getting really sick of RNG

Is it just me or is anyone else just sick of complete RNG "crafting"?

I use crafting loosely as nothing feels like crafting, more Loot Stat Gambling (LSG). There doesn't seem to be skill in anything. I keep using items in hopes to get something good but never seem to get what I need which is annoying.

Understand PoE1 was gambly and they can't just let everyone craft exactly what they want but some control of chance of something definitive would be nice. For example, something like on of the two below:

- When salvaging, give a chance for some element to be extracted so you can add it back into a new item later. This would still be annoying but at least if an item I tried to build had 1 or 2 things I liked, I have a chance to actually utilise this (though would prefer something more concrete)

Or

- When crafting and item, give the player and option of 2 or 3 augments. This will not make an item good but at least gives the player some control so you can make an item somewhat decent whilst still requiring luck.

Generally speaking, I just don't like RNG systems but I do get their appeal and many people do like them - PoE just feels like it beats you around the head with them though.

Crafting is pure garbage but I guess the designers vision is a pure garbage crafting system.
