Stun lock

There's no reason to have unavoidable damage that takes 0.5 seconds to execute and have 10 of them, attacking out of sync, so its just back to back stuns. They are mid size mobs that swing maces/axes not sure and they are humanoid, bald and red. It was an AOE attack, which you cant evade or absorb in any form. Found them in Hidden Grotto.
