PoE2 3rd ascendant error

I finally got a dinner barya that would give me more ascendancy points. I passed everything and got all my loot at the end. I still did not have the points. Then I decided to try the challenge room to unlock more room for relics. I died and the game locked up. Had to restart the game and now not only to I not have my points, but I no longer have my Djinn Barya so I could at least try the whole thing again. Game also locks up every time I die during the trial. I am on xbox.
