[PoE2][Routing] Network Spikes for European Players

Hey,

so I played about 200 hours of PoE2 just fine. Perfect harmony. All chill and had a lot of fun.

Since 2 days ago I cannot play in the slightest anymore so I tried looking for solutions online. Is it me or serversided. Ping does rise in a matter of seconds towards 200-300ms and falls down just as quick. Sometimes staying giga high but overall it makes the game slow down and speed up permanent.

After following GGGs guide[ to resolve connectivity issues I was a little bit shocked.

I play from inside of germany and usually I use the frankfurt or milan server. The tracert I did towards those servers sent me sometimes over australian knots. They were called po1600.whatever.globalsecurelayer.com with IPs like 206.148.26.143 and so on.

Why am I getting routed over australia and why do I see tons of people complain but no one addresses it officially? Is it a capacity problem of EA or just ISP related?for me it does not look like ISP because I go through that on the tracert without a hinge. As soon as I enter the routingtunnel towards poe it all comes crashing down.

Ye, if anybody can help I'd appreciate it but a statement and a soon to be fix would be much more encouraging then trying to fix issues on my side that are not there.

Thank you.

tl;dr
DDoS Protection (from GGG?), namely 'globalsecurelayer.com', cause lag spikes because the routing of the instance server of some european players gets FORCED over to australia

Little testing update:

Played at 8 AM on Milano Server. No Problems.

Tracert the routing to instance server. Getting send over the australian hop (DDoS Protection) again but this time no latency.

Seems that this is a capacity problem and for anyone that is "too" much during prime time we get huge stutters and lags since the DDoS Server can't handle those requests anymore.
not even a GGG problem, it's a hop outside their host network and it likely gets heavy trafic, just because it says secure in the line dose not mean it is DDoS protection.

Might not be GGG themselves but their DDoS Service Partner and yes, one of the biggest DDoS protection services might label themselves on their addresstable.

Yea this has been going on for a few days now... The ping spikes massively, and the game freezes. Thankfully im not playing hardcore lol.
