INVALID QUERY

[PS5] So incredibly frustrating to see the perfect piece I need on the trade site & be completely c*ck blocked from even manually whispering the person ("character does not exist").

My sony account is linked. I'm logged into the game. I've logged in on my phone using my sony login (and also tried with poe2 account login). I still can't direct whisper people and manually typing in the name doesn't work either.

I'll start out by saying that I love PoE 2 and I want it to be hugely successful. The campaign, the itemization, the monsters, the skills, and level design are all incredible. The endgame is really good too....it just needs some minor changes like adding rare monsters to the top level of towers. Maybe like 1-5 rare monsters (depending on how many enemies we kill on first floor).

It's a fantastic game but my progress is severely hindered by the dreaded...."Invalid query; Your account must be in-game to use this feature"

For weeks I've been getting this error when I try to whisper a seller. I haven't made a single trade because of it. I'm struggling to maintain waystones because I keep dying. I can't optimize my build when I can't trade for anything.

Who's bright idea was it to have an external site for trading? In PoE I used the console tradeboard and it was way more convenient. This site adds a bunch of extra steps to trading that are unnecessary....like having to enter another player's hideout to click on their character. We can't even add items to a wishlist so that it's easy to find them later. And if we exit the site by mistake we have to fill out all the search filters again because we can't save them.

I asked GGG to delete my entire poe.com account because my Poe 1 characters are linked to the old profile and I thought that might be the cause of the issue. They ignored that request and offered to delete the old profile and leave the new one in place. I want my ENTIRE POE.COM ACCOUNT DELETED....so I can try using this website with my psn only. It's really weird that they don't have a 'delete account' feature on here.

And before anyone responds....yes, I linked my sony account and obviously I'm in-game when trying to whisper people.

Halsyan, we need to email as many admins as we can about this INVALID QUERY issue and also demand an IN-GAME TRADEBOARD!

I'm getting it too. Occassionally i can manually find someone in game, but most often I cannot PM...must be in game which I am, or I also , when trying to contact ingame, get the player does not exist. It really makes it impossible to trade. Don't know what the issue is but it needs fixing. I am on the XBOX.

SOLVED!

So my issue was that I had an old poe1 account I never used which was also connected to my sony account. All my characters were being created under the old account but when I logged into the site it was using the new account by default. I just used the switch account option at the top of the page, now I can direct whisper people through the trade app.
