Pure Power amulet annointment using crossbow

Hello, not sure if anyone has tried, but after putting on pure power on my amulet, the animation of the lightning is not showing on the crossbow but it is showing on my sheathed offhand weapon. To get the animation i have to take off amulet and put it back on again... but entering a portal the animation of the crossbow disappears again...

not sure if this is a bug or what? because of this i don't even know if my amulet anointment for pure power is even working on the crossbow or not...
