Hammer of the Gods not usable

After the 0.11 patch, I cannot use the hammer of the gods skill. If the gem is not corrupted, try giving the gem to a friend then using it. Then take it back and try it yourself. I had a broken gem and that's how I fixed it, also tried a broken corrupted gem but didn't work in that case.
