Is this just completely stupid or am I?

I swap a weapon to check other things out but it has an increased stat mod that is necessary for me to use it. Once I remove it, i can't out it back in the weapon slot. No I gotta find other gear that raises that stat and shift a bunch around or completely respec then respec again once it's in there. What gives?

yea i found the work around, just a pain in the ass having to do that in order to compare gear stats.

Keep a bunch of gear with high rolled + attributes in your stash for moments like these.

Attribute bonuses on one weapon swap set carry over to benefit the other weapon swap set even when that second set is not currently active. Exploit this for gem leveling in the second set slots.

For example, on this character my "main" weapon set of scepter + shield gives me around 150-155 intellect but my "off" weapon set of two handed axe (for gem leveling) has around 140 intellect.

Switching to the offset axe shows that I don't have the intellect requirements to keep leveling the gems in that axe, but I can keep leveling them if I switch to my main weapon set with more intellect while those gems continue to sit in the second set axe.
