Comet + Proximal Tangibility
The range of the Proximal Tangibility mod is not big enough to account for Comet forcing the player backward when cast too close to themselves. This causes Comet to do no damage even when you cast on the target while standing on top of them. The Comet jump is not very far, half the distance (or less) of a dodge-roll, yet it is still far enough to put you out of range.
This is more of a development oversight than a bug, but it is very annoying. The minimum range for Proximal Tangibility should take into account the leap backwards from casting Comet close to the caster. This can be done multiple ways: 1) Increase the minimum range of Proximal Tangibility so that Comet does not push the caster out of its range when the caster is standing directly next to the monster when casting. 2) Decrease the jump back of Comet so that the caster remains in range. This is definitely not ideal as the jump back saves lives. 3) Calculate the distance at the time of casting, not at the time when damage is dealt. This most likely does not fit the current damage system and would be a pain to add. I think #1 is the best solution. Many players already complain about the Proximal Tangibility mod and this will at least give a little more room for survivability while still being able to do damage.
