You do not have the required quest state

When dead, can’t start at checkpoint or perform any action. Simply states “ You do not have the required quest state”. 1st mission of Act 2. Have to shut the game down and restart to play again, to only have it do the same thing when I die in the boss fight. Also can’t join (warp) to friend who’s having the same issue.

I'm dealing with the exact same thing. I literally have to reboot the whole game every time I die, which make this unplayable until fixed.
